Welcome to Southeast Sailboats Rigging Matters
Hi, I’m Max Hunt, the founder, innovator and splicer behind Southeast Sailboats. For the last 10 years I have worked to transform ILCA/Laser rigging. Based on the thousands of orders fulfilled and customer feedback received, I seem to have succeeded. I now want to focus on actually sailing/travelling myself, rather than splicing all/every day, so I have taken the very difficult decision to retire and close the web shop. However, I still want to innovate, share my experience and help others, like you, get the best out of your ILCA.
Over the years, Southeast Sailboats has developed a reputation for honest unbiased reviews and guidance, and sailor reports, often through the newsletter. Hence, my new Rigging Matters newsletter.
“Rigging Matters will ensure that you know all about ILCA rigging and bits”
Each month, or whenever there is something to talk about, the Rigging Matters newsletter will keep you up to date of what is new and upcoming in the ILCA world with articles from myself and some of the top sailors. In depth analysis of blocks, rope, compasses, sails, training aids etc. Hints and tips. What to buy and where to get it. Plus if I decide to make anything available via a ‘pop up’ shop you will get to know about it before it closes!
The Southeast Sailboats | Rigging Matters page also contains all the rigging instructions and other guides, so is a handy place to bookmark. Subscription is free.
